Books for Transgender Awareness Week

By Coll Rowe | November 5 2025 | General

For Transgender Awareness Week, which takes place November 13th – November 19th we are sharing books by and about transgender people. Their stories and experiences give insight on the joy they feel in living as their true selves and the discrimination they face.

Transgender Day of Remembrance on November 20th is an observance that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender bigotry and violence.

The books in this collection will educate your students on the lives, stories, and creations of transgender people and help create acceptance and empathy for transgender students in classrooms.
