These works live outside the traditional canon, questioning the stories we’ve inherited and opening space for new ones.
Outsider Editions strives to redefine: to take our understanding of the contemporary canon and make it more expansive, more complicated, and more just. Still, more than a corrective to the canon as it is currently understood, Outsider Editions is a corrective to the perception of the canon as an immutable collection of works. It can and should be a living organism, capable of growth, flux, and evolution.
