There is something alive and unclassifiable that has coursed through planet Earth since its creation—and seems capable of outliving it. It spreads beneath the surface and emerges like a fantastic plant, in every sense of the word. Its existence is recounted by the novel’s different narrators—voices that speak from 1504, 1888, and 1945—and through the temporal arc of a future that only literature can imagine.

Time and again, as humanity grows and reflects upon itself, the biont—this organism that both terrifies and shelters—becomes a mirror of historical evolution, shadowed by the horror of its own idea of progress.
Roberto Chuit Roganovich nació en 1992 en Córdoba, Argentina. Doctor en Letras por la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, es docente universitario y dirige talleres de escritura creativa. Forma parte de la banda de posthardcore Ox en Mayo Alto. Es autor de la novela Quiebra el álamo, que recibió el Premio Futuröck de Novela en 2022, y del libro de cuentos Todos los terneros y los pumas, ganador del concurso de Letras del Fondo Nacional de las Artes en 2023. Si sintieras bajo los pies las estructuras mayores mereció el Premio Clarín de Novela 2024, con un jurado compuesto por Mariana
Enriquez, Samanta Schweblin y Alberto Fuguet.
