Two brothers embark on a road trip to bring their recovering father home from the hospital, in a poignant mediation on family and the things we try to recover of the past. Over the course of a single summer in 1970s Halifax, as shifting social mores lead to a crisis within his family, a boy obsessed with comic books begins to question his once unshakable faith in his uncle.

In celebration of James Baldwin, the literary legend and civil rights champion, and the centennial of his birth, we are sharing a collection of his work. James Baldwin (1924–1987) was a novelist, essayist, playwright, poet, and social critic.
