Silvia López is a Cuba native raised in Miami who has served as children's librarian at schools and public libraries for over three decades. She is also the author of Uno Más, One More: A Latino Retelling of an Old Scottish Ballad; Queen of Tejano Music: Selena; Pacho Nacho, and several Little Golden Books. Siliva currently resides in Miami.

Mirelle Ortega is an award-winning Mexican artist and writer for kidlit and animation based in Los Angeles, California. She is the author-illustrator of River of Mariposas and Magic: Once Upon a Faraway Land, for which she received a 2023 Pura Belpré Award Illustration Honor and an International Latino Book Award medal. NOMAR PEREZ was born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. He moved to the U.S. at the age of 10, but the amazing colors, sounds, and flavors of his Puerto Rican culture have continued to influence him throughout his artistic life.
