For National Poetry Month in April, we are sharing poetry collections and books about poetry by authors who have their own stories to tell. These poets delve into history, reimagine the present, examine poetry itself—from traditional poems many know and love to poems and voices that are new and original.

Each May, we honor the stories, histories, and cultures of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. In honor of National Coming Out Day on October 11th, we are sharing a collection that includes books by LGBTQIA+ authors and stories that are about LGBTQIA+ individuals and their journeys. These stories show moments of pride and perseverance and capture the beauty of being oneself.
