Icons collide, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance!

Look out, New York! A previously dormant Godzilla has been awoken and angrily begun carving a path of annihilation toward the Big Apple. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes band together to try to stop this cataclysmic rampage — but when their combined efforts fail to slow the Bringer of Destruction, the planet’s defenders are forced to go to extraordinary lengths to bring down Godzilla…including joining forces with the world’s most devious villains! Will even that be enough to stop Godzilla as he tears straight through the Marvel Universe into the Dark Dimension and other realms? Or how about if the Venom symbiote latches on to the ultimate apex predator as its new host? Plus: How is the King of Monsters connected to the mysterious metal vibranium, and what does it mean for Wakanda?

COLLECTING: Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe (2025) #1-5
Gerry Duggan has become one of Marvel’s most influential writers, having first made an impression at the House of Ideas with a lengthy and always surprising Deadpool run alongside his frequent writing partner, Brian Posehn. Among Duggan’s solo credits are Nova, Hulk and multiple tie-ins to the Secret Wars event. He added Deadpool to the revamped roster of Uncanny Avengers and brought his unique blend of action and humor to All-New Guardians of the Galaxy, leading up to the cosmic event series Infinity Wars. Marauders and Cable established him as a vital part of the storytelling team for the Dawn of X era, a role he has cemented further by launching the blockbuster new X-Men title. Duggan’s earlier collaboration with artist Phil Noto — The Infinite Horizon, a reimagining of Homer’s The Odyssey in a dystopian future — earned an Eisner Award nomination for Best New Series.

Spanish artist Javier Garrón studied architecture before his work on webcomics and blogs got the attention of DC comics. He went on to draw Batman Eternal, Infinite Crisis: Fight for the Multiverse, Batgirl: Future's End and more. Garron made his Marvel debut with Cyclops in 2014.
