He and artist Janet Lee created the Eisner Award-winning surreal graphic novel Return of the Dapper Men.

Writer Duane Swierczynski broke out as a crime-fiction novelist with 2005’s Secret Dead Men. It was promptly followed by The Wheel Man, The Blonde and Severance Package. Flush from his success as a novelist, Swierczynski brought his crime style to comics with work on Moon Knight, Cable and The Immortal Iron Fist.
