Charlotte Gordon

Charlotte Gordon is an award-winning biographer and historian. Her book Romantic Outlaws: The Lives of Mary Wollstonecraft and Mary Shelley won the National Book Critics Circle Award. She has held prestigious fellowships, including from the National Endowment for the Humanities, and her work has appeared widely in print and lecture venues. She teaches literature and history and lectures on feminism, race, and nineteenth-century reform movements. She lives in Massachusetts.
