Lauren Semmer

Lauren Semmer is a bestselling creator of the picture book Poppy’s Family Patterns and the illustrator of a special adaptation of The Night Before Christmas, based on the classic poem by Clement C. Moore. She also illustrated the picture books The ABCs of Women’s History and The ABCs of Black History, both written by Rio Cortez, as well as To Boldly Go: How Nichelle Nichols and "Star Trek" Helped Advance Civil Rights, written by Angela Dalton. When she isn’t making picture books, Lauren and her sons love making things together, just like Poppy and Granddad. Lauren is based in New York City.
