Irene Latham is the award-winning author of two novels for children, Leaving Gee's Bend and Don't Feed the Boy. Her first poetry picture book, Dear Wandering Wildebeest, won a Nerdy Book Award for Poetry and was named an NCTE 2015 Notable Poetry book, among other honors. She lives in Birmingham, Alabama.
