Novesky has written many children's books, including Me, Frida, a Pura Belpre Honor Book, and Georgia in Hawaii, a Junior Library Guild selection and Boston Globe/Horn Book Award Honor Book. Novesky is co-author of National Geographic's Natumi Takes the Lead: The True Story of an Orphan Elephant Who Finds Family.
