Carrie S. Swift

Carrie S. Swift, MS, RD, BC-ADM, CDE, is a certified diabetes educator and registered dietitian nutritionist at Kadlec Medical Center's Diabetes Learning Center and Nutrition Counseling Services. She has a master's degree in human nutrition and is board certified in advanced diabetes management. Carrie is nationally recognized for her expertise in nutrition and diabetes education. She received a national award, Diabetes Educator of the Year, from the Diabetes Care and Education (DCE) dietetic practice group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly American Dietetic Association). Carrie has served in many volunteer leadership roles with professional diabetes and nutrition organizations including the board of directors of the American Association of Diabetes Educators.   In addition to developing nutrition and diabetes education materials, Carrie has published multiple articles in professional journals, served as an associate editor, and authored several book chapters. Carrie is a dynamic speaker. Whether presenting to colleagues at professional meetings, local community groups, corporate groups, or diabetes class participants, she enjoys sharing information that can help people with diabetes live their lives with success and satisfaction.
