CARRIE GLEASON has written 18 books for children on topics ranging from explorers to natural resources, environmental issues, animal rights, and weather. She is the author of one other book on creepy crawlies entitled Feasting Bedbugs, Mites, and Ticks. She has been a children's book author and editor for more than 15 years. Carrie lives in the Beaches neighbourhood of Toronto, Ontario, where she has possibly swallowed hundreds of midges while riding her bike open-mouthed through the massive black swarms.
