BORIS BIRMAHER, M.D., professor of psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, is one of the country’s top researchers in the field of child and adolescent bipolar disorder. He, together with David Axelson, M.D., is also currently the director of Child and Adolescent Bipolar Disorders Services at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh. Dr. Birmaher lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
