William Bratton

William J. Bratton is one of the world’s most respected and trusted experts on risk and security issues. As Executive Chairman of Teneo Risk, Commissioner Bratton advises clients on risk identification, prevention, and response. During a 46-year career in law enforcement, he instituted progressive change and achieved dramatic decreases in crime while leading six police departments, including seven years as Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department and two nonconsecutive terms as Police Commissioner of the City of New York, improving public safety and working to strengthen community relations in each post. He is the only person to lead the police agencies of America’s two largest cities. A noted author, commentator and consultant, Police Commissioner Bratton currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Secretary of Homeland Security’s Advisory Council. He has co-authored two books, Turnaround with Peter Knobler and Collaborate or Perish with Zachary Tumin.
