A great climber requires complete bodily control: to understand what each muscle and joint can do – as well as their limits – in order to correctly judge and execute the next move. Science of Climbing gets under the skin of the sport and anatomises what it takes to achieve your climbing goals:

Dr Kevin Cowell is a rehab and strength training specialist at The Climb Clinic in Golden, Colorado. He received his BSc in Applied Health from Azusa Pacific University and earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Regis University. He has undergone extensive post-doctorate training in orthopaedics, osteopathy, and strength and conditioning. Kevin has worked at climbing events across the world with the International Federation of Sport Climbing and USA Climbing, and is the lead physical therapist for both the University of Colorado Boulder and the University of Denver climbing teams.
