La noche antes del Día de Muertos (The Night Before the Day of the Dead Spanish Edition)

Illustrated by Nathalie Beauvois
Translated by Georgina Lázaro

A little girl and her family are preparing for the Day of the Dead parade!

I couldn’t wait to dress up
for tomorrow’s parade.
I’ll paint my face and wear
the dress that Mom made.

A little girl and her family get ready to celebrate the Day of the Dead. They set up an ofrenda for loved ones at home and clean the graves in the cemetery in order to celebrate their lives. The girl is most excited for the parade—but how can she paint her face like the rest of the parade-goers with a broken arm? Read along to find out!

Told in the style of Clement C. Moore's classic poem and featuring a page of additional information about how the Day of the Dead is celebrated in countries around the world, this is the perfect book for young readers to learn more about the holiday!
