Gabrielle Balkan (she/her) is best known for nonfiction books that delight readers ages 2–12 with curious and essential facts about the United States, animal record-breakers, and more. She lives, works, and rides bikes in Brooklyn and the Hudson Valley with her twin seventh-graders and a writer husband.

Alberto Lot is a designer, an illustrator, and an animator. Formerly an art director at Leo Burnett and Condé Nast, he now creates visuals for several global brands and companies, as well as children's books! He has published several in Italian, but this is his second one in English. Alberto lives in Bologna, Italy, with his young family, and spends his days making things that are beautiful to see and easy to understand.
