The Birth of a New DC Era—LEGENDS Rewrites the Rules of Heroism

Legends Omnibus collects the complete 6-issue Legends miniseries and its expansive tie-ins across Action Comics, Justice League of America, Blue Beetle, Cosmic Boy, Green Lantern Corps, Warlord, and more. Written by John Byrne, Jerry Ordway, and Paul Levitz, and illustrated by Ernie Colón and Keith Giffen, this landmark event reshaped the DC Universe following Crisis on Infinite Earths. As Darkseid manipulates Earth’s perception of heroes, a new generation rises—including the Suicide Squad and the modern Justice League. This omnibus captures the full scope of the crossover that redefined heroism for a new era.
Born in England and raised in Canada, John Byrne discovered superheroes through The Adventures of Superman on television. After studying at the Alberta College of Art and Design, he broke into comics first with Skywald and then at Charlton, where he created the character Rog-2000. Following his tenure at Charlton, Byrne moved to Marvel, where his acclaimed runs on The Uncanny X-Men and The Fantastic Four soon made him one of the most popular artists in the industry. In 1986 he came to DC to revamp Superman from the ground up, and since then he has gone on to draw and/or write every major character at both DC and Marvel. View titles by John Byrne
Jerry Ordway is a writer and artist whose work has spanned over three decades and every major comic book publisher. He is best known for his work on Superman, Action Comics, Wonder Woman, The Power of SHAZAM!, Crisis On Infinite Earths, and Infinite Crisis, amongst dozens of titles. View titles by Jerry Ordway
Paul Levitz entered comics in 1971 as editor of The Comic Reader, the first comics newszine, which won two Best Fanzine Comic Art Fan Awards. He has received the Inkpot Award and the Bob Clampett Humanitarian Award and serves on the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund board. Levitz is known for his writing, including an acclaimed run on the Legion of Super-Heroes, a series to which he's returned. On staff from 1973, Levitz was DC's youngest editor ever, ultimately becoming publisher in 1989 and president and publisher from 2002 to 2009. View titles by Paul Levitz
Keith Giffen has provided plotting, scripting, artwork, or any combination thereof for titles such as All-Star Comics, Legion Of Super-Heroes, Ragman, Creeper, Lobo, Suicide Squad, The Defenders, Hero Squared!, and Ambush Bug. He's worked on the weekly series 52 and Countdown to Final Crisis, as well as 52 Aftermath: The Four Horsemen and Midnighter, plus a gazillion other things. View titles by Keith Giffen
