Julian Huxley

Sir Julian Huxley was a British evolutionary biologist. He was the first director of UNESCO, the first president of the British Humanist Association, and a founding member of the World Wildlife Fund. He was active in the dissemination of science through popular culture, appearing often in print, as well as on radio and television. His 1934 natural history documentary The Private Life of the Gannets won an Oscar for best documentary. He died in 1975.
