Tom Lathrop

Tom Lathrop is the editor of Cervantes: Bulletin of the Cervantes Society of America. He has translated both abridged and unabridged editions of Don Quixote, in addition to a children’s version. Lathrop has also spoken about the book in national and international forums, and has received the “Order of Don Quixote,” the highest award made by Sigma Delta Phi. He was also invested by the king of Spain as an officer in the Order of Isabel la Católica. Lathrop has a PhD in Romance Languages and Literatures from UCLA and is professor emeritus at the University of Delaware.
