Barbara Barnes

Barbara is a Canadian actress living in the UK. She has been in many BBC radio dramas including The Wizard of Oz, Anne of Green Gables, The Big Sleep, Valley of the Dolls, Tales of the City, Daisy Miller, The Amateur Marriage and recently an adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Robber Bride. A Slipping Down Life, The Historian, Into the Abyss, and Foreign Affairs are among those she has recorded for BBC’s A Book At Bedtime. Audiobook recordings include Helpless, Boy, Snow, Bird, The Last Days of Summer, and The Blue Castle.
As well as working extensively in theatre, Barbara’s film and TV appearances include Miss Marple: A Caribbean Mystery and Poirot: Murder in Mesopotamia.
