Alan Judd began writing while in the Foreign Office. His biography of Ford Madox Ford won the Royal Society of Literature’s Heinemann Award. He recently published a biography of Mansfield Cumming, founder of Great Britain’s modern Secret Service. Judd writes regularly for the Daily Telegraph in London.
