Scott Donaldson is one of the country's foremost literary biographers. Donaldson has written several books on twentieth-century American authors including: Archibald MacLeish: An American Life, By Force of Will: The Life and Art of Ernest Hemingway, and John Cheever: A BiographyArchibald MacLeish: An American Life won the 1993 Ambassador Book Award for biography.
